B Corp explanation: B Corporations are for-profit businesses that remain true to their values through an explicit social or environmental mission. They make a profit for shareholders, while also taking into account the interests of other stakeholders such as workers, vendors, and the larger community. The B Corp movement has been expanding rapidly and includes companies such as Patagonia, Ben & Jerry's, Seventh Generation, Method, Dansko, Etsy and more. The new legal structure has been recognized in twelve states and is pending in several others including Delaware.
